Contraction timer

Tap Start when a contraction begins and Stop when it ends. The timer shows how long each contraction lasts and how far apart they are.
Your contractions are about 5 minutes apart or closer and last about 1 minute. Follow your provider's instructions and contact your hospital or birth center.

When to go to the hospital
Many providers use the 5-1-1 rule for a first baby: contractions about 5 minutes apart, lasting about 1 minute, for at least 1 hour. Your provider may give you different instructions. Call right away if your water breaks, you have bleeding, the baby moves less, or you have strong constant pain.
